Civil Aviation Act 1990

Civil Aviation Authority of New Zealand

72CA: Surplus of Aviation Security Service funds payable to the Crown

You could also call this:

“Extra money from airport security might go back to the government”

If you have extra money left over from running the Aviation Security Service, the Minister of Finance might ask you to give some or all of it back to the government. Before making this decision, the Minister of Finance will talk to the Minister responsible for civil aviation. This only happens if the Minister of Finance thinks there’s more money than needed for that year’s operations.
