Civil Aviation Act 1990

Offences and penalties - Security offences

55: Personation or obstruction of aviation security officer

You could also call this:

“You can't pretend to be or stop a security officer at the airport from doing their job”

You cannot pretend to be an aviation security officer if you are not one. This means you must not act, speak, dress, or use a name that makes people think you are an aviation security officer when you are not.

You also must not stop an aviation security officer from doing their job. You are not allowed to encourage other people to stop them either.

If you do either of these things, you are breaking the law. If you are found guilty, you could go to jail for up to 3 months or have to pay a fine of up to $2,000.
