Civil Aviation Act 1990

Miscellaneous provisions

99C: Offences

You could also call this:

“Breaking rules about sharing information in civil aviation can get you in trouble”

If you don’t follow the rules about sharing information in civil aviation, you can get in trouble. You might break these rules if you don’t give the information you’re supposed to when the law asks for it, or if you lie when you’re giving information.

If you don’t share the information you’re supposed to, you could be fined up to $200,000. If you keep breaking this rule, you could be fined another $10,000 for each day you don’t follow the rules.

If you lie when you’re giving information, you could be fined up to $20,000.

These are serious rules, and the government wants to make sure everyone follows them to keep civil aviation safe and fair for everyone.
