Civil Aviation Act 1990

Fees and charges - Levies

42D: Other provisions relating to levies

You could also call this:

“Rules for paying and using aviation fees to support the Civil Aviation Authority”

When the government sets a levy under section 42A, you need to pay it to the Civil Aviation Authority. The Authority uses this money to do its job under the Civil Aviation Act.

The government can make rules about the levy. These rules can say who needs to pay, where to pay, and when to pay. They might also ask you to give information about your payment.

The levy is treated like other charges under the Act. This means the Authority can collect it in the same way as other charges.

The government’s power to set this levy is allowed under the Commerce Act. This means it’s not seen as unfair competition.
