Civil Aviation Act 1990

Offences and penalties - Safety offences

43: Endangerment caused by holder of aviation document

You could also call this:

"Aviation document holders must not do dangerous things"

If you have an aviation document, you must be careful not to do anything dangerous with it. This means you can't do or allow anything that might put other people or property in danger when you're using your document. If you do something dangerous, you're breaking the law.

If you break this law, you can get in trouble. If you're a person, you might have to go to jail for up to 12 months or pay a fine of up to $10,000. If you're a company, you might have to pay a fine of up to $100,000.

This law works alongside other rules about aviation. It doesn't replace those rules, but adds to them to make sure everyone stays safe.
