"Civil Aviation Authority must tell Transport Accident Investigation Commission about aircraft accidents and serious incidents"

When someone tells the Civil Aviation Authority about an accident or incident involving aircraft, the Authority has to let the Transport Accident Investigation Commission know about it as soon as they can. They need to do this for all accidents involving aircraft and for serious incidents that fall under the rules of the Convention.

If someone tells the Civil Aviation Authority about a search and rescue operation, the Authority must tell the Transport Accident Investigation Commission right away.

You can find more information about how accidents and incidents should be reported in section 26 of this law.
