Gambling Act 2003

Gambling - Licensing of class 3 gambling - Applications for class 3 operator’s licence

35: Application for class 3 operator’s licence

You could also call this:

"Applying for a licence to run a small gambling event"

If you want to run a class 3 gambling operation, you need to apply to the Secretary for a licence. You must fill out the standard form and give the Secretary the information they ask for. This includes details about what you will use the money from the gambling for, and a copy of an agreement that meets the rules made under section 219(a) if someone else is running the gambling for you.

You also need to tell the Secretary about the type of gambling you want to run, the prizes you will offer, and how often you will run the gambling. You must give them information about how much it will cost to enter the gambling, and how you plan to make sure you get as much money as possible to use for the authorised purposes. The Secretary may ask you for other information, and you must give it to them.

If you do not give the Secretary all the information they need, they may send your application back to you. They will also return any documents you sent with your application, and any fee you paid.
