Illustration for Gambling Act 2003

If you tell a venue manager or a casino operator that you are a problem gambler, they must help you. They will issue an exclusion order to stop you from entering the gambling area for up to 2 years if you ask them to. You have to ask them to prohibit you from entering the venue. You need to give them your name and date of birth, and a recent photo of yourself. The venue manager or casino operator can refuse to issue the exclusion order if you do not give them the information they need. They can also refuse if the photo is not clear enough for them to identify you. After you are excluded, you might have to do something to be allowed back in, like following a procedure set out in regulations made under section 316(1)(e).
