Licensed promoters of class 3 gambling
189Licensed promoter may only promote licensed class 3 gambling activity
A licensed promoter must not promote a class 3 gambling activity on behalf of a society unless the promoter believes on reasonable grounds that the society has obtained a class 3 operator’s licence to conduct the gambling activity under section 37.
A person who contravenes subsection (1) commits an offence and is liable on
conviction to a fine not exceeding $5,000.In addition to any penalty that may be imposed under subsection (2), a court may order that the licensed promoter forfeit to the Crown all reward paid to the licensed promoter by the society for promoting the class 3 gambling activity.
