Gambling Act 2003

Harm prevention and minimisation, enforcement, and other matters - Other matters

376: Savings

You could also call this:

"Old rules that still apply after the new Gambling Act 2003 started"

When the Gambling Act 2003 came into force, some old rules still applied. You need to know that these old rules include regulations made under previous gaming Acts, game rules made under the Casino Control Act 1990, and rules made by the New Zealand Lotteries Commission under the Gaming and Lotteries Act 1977, except for the rules specified in section 375(2). These old rules were modified to fit with the new Act.

If there is a disagreement between the new Act and the old Gaming and Lotteries Act 1977, the new Act is more important. You should look at the new Act to see what happens in these situations. The new Act takes priority over the old one.
