Gambling Act 2003

Gambling - Licensed promoters of class 3 gambling - Grant of licensed promoter’s licence

202: Secretary must notify Police if licence granted

You could also call this:

"The Government must inform the Police when someone gets a gambling licence."

If you get a licence to be a promoter, the Secretary has to tell the Police some things about you. They have to tell the Police your full name and address, and the address of any important people involved with your licence. They also have to tell the Police your licence number, when the licence was granted, and where your business is located. The Secretary has to tell the Police if they make any other decisions about your licence. When the Secretary tells the Police these things, they have to tell a senior constable in the area where you live or where your business is registered, depending on whether you are a person or a company, and they must do this as required by the Gambling Act 2003, which was amended by the Policing Act 2008.
