Illustration for Gambling Act 2003

If you have a casino operator's licence and get rid of a gaming machine, you must tell the Secretary some information within 20 working days. You need to say what kind of machine it is, including the manufacturer, model, and serial number, and how you got rid of it. You also need to say who you sold it to, if that is what you did, and how to contact them. If you do not do this, you can get in trouble and have to pay a fine of up to $5,000. The rules about getting rid of gaming machines are part of the Gambling Act 2003, which was amended by the Gambling Amendment Act 2015 and the Criminal Procedure Act 2011.
