Gambling Act 2003

Harm prevention and minimisation, enforcement, and other matters - Minimum standards for gambling equipment

326: Gambling equipment must comply with minimum standards

You could also call this:

"Gambling machines must meet basic rules before you can use them"

The Secretary can decide that some gambling equipment must meet certain standards before you can use it. You need to get the Secretary's approval for this equipment to make sure it meets these standards. The Secretary will let you know about this in the Gazette.

If you have a certain type of licence to run a gambling venue, you must use equipment that meets the minimum standards. This means the equipment must be designed, made, and work in a way that meets these standards. You must also get the Secretary's approval for the equipment if they have said you need to.

The Secretary can ask you to prove that your equipment meets the standards by getting confirmation from a certain group. They will tell you which group you need to get this confirmation from. You will need to give the Secretary this confirmation in writing.
