Illustration for Gambling Act 2003

The Secretary can make rules for playing games or gambling. You need to follow these rules when you play games or gamble. The Secretary can also change or get rid of these rules.

The Secretary can make rules for things like how games are played or how gambling works. The Secretary can also make rules for things like paperwork or information that is used for games or gambling. The Secretary can tell people who run gambling places to show the rules where people can see them.

If there are no rules for a particular game, you can ask the Secretary to make some. You will need to tell the Secretary all about the game when you ask. The Secretary will make sure the rules are available for everyone to see, as required by the Legislation Act 2019.
