You can apply for a licensed promoter's licence if you are a natural person over 18 years old or a company. You must meet certain rules to be eligible. If you are a natural person, you cannot apply if you are an undischarged bankrupt or a bankrupt whose order of discharge is suspended.

You also cannot apply if you have had a licensed promoter's licence cancelled or refused in the last five years. You must not apply for a licence if you know you are not eligible. If you break this rule, you can be fined up to $2,000.

You will be committing an offence if you apply for a licence knowing you are not eligible, and you can be convicted and fined.
