Illustration for Gambling Act 2003

The Secretary gives a special card to every person who is chosen to be a gambling inspector. This card is called a warrant of appointment and it must have the inspector's photo and signature on it. It also has to have other details that are required.

When you have this card, it proves you can do the job of a gambling inspector, unless someone can show that you are not allowed to. This card gives you the power to do things that are listed in sections 333 to 338.

If you stop being a gambling inspector, you have to give your card back. If you do not give it back, you can get a fine of up to $1,000.
