Gambling Act 2003

Harm prevention and minimisation, enforcement, and other matters - Problem gambling levy

320A: Levy may be calculated for period of less than 3 years

You could also call this:

"The law lets a levy be calculated for less than 3 years to help cover gambling problem costs."

The law says that sometimes a levy can be calculated for less than 3 years. You need to know that sections 319 and 320 of the law allow this to happen. The levy is worked out so that you pay enough to cover the full cost of helping people with gambling problems over the whole 3-year period.

The law also says that the levy might only be paid for part of the 3-year period. This means that even if you only pay the levy for a short time, the amount you pay will be enough to cover the costs for the whole 3 years. This is how the law makes sure that the cost of helping people with gambling problems is covered.
