If you want to renew your class 4 operator's licence, you can apply to the Secretary before it expires. You need to fill out the standard form and include any extra information the Secretary asks for, as listed in section 50, to consider your application. You might also need to include items for a class 4 venue licence application.

The Secretary can send your application back if it's not complete, along with any documents and fees you paid. When you apply to renew your licence, the Secretary follows the same rules as when you first applied for the licence, which are outlined in sections 51 and 52.

The Secretary will not renew your licence if they are not satisfied with their investigations, as outlined in section 52, or if you do not comply with section 53A, or if you will not follow all the rules and conditions of the licence. If you apply for renewal before your licence expires and the application is not refused, your licence stays valid after the expiry date.
