A certificate of approval ends in certain situations. You lose your certificate of approval if the Secretary cancels it under section 167. It also ends if you surrender it under section 169(1)(b).

Your certificate of approval expires 12 months after you stop working for a casino licence holder, whether you were doing certain activities under section 158(2), performing services under section 158(4), or working as a casino employee in a class prescribed in regulations made under section 371(1)(f).

Your certificate of approval also ends if you die.
