If you are an employer, you must follow the rules about flexible working arrangements in [section 69AAE]. If you don’t, you might have to pay a fine. The Employment Relations Authority can make you pay up to $2,000 if you break these rules. This money doesn’t go to the government. Instead, you have to pay it to the employee who was affected by your actions.
