235B: Infringement offences
or “Rules about how people can be punished for small law-breaking at work”

You could also call this:

“A special inspector can give you a ticket if they think you broke the rules at work.”

If a Labour Inspector thinks you might be breaking or have broken a specific employment rule, they can give you an infringement notice. This notice tells you that you might have done something wrong according to the law. The Labour Inspector needs to have good reasons to believe this before they can give you the notice. You don’t need to worry about what an infringement offence is right now, but just know it’s a type of rule-breaking that the law talks about.
