Oranga Tamariki Act 1989

Provisions relating to iwi social services, cultural social services, child and family support services, and community services - Community services

408: Assessment of community services

You could also call this:

"Checking if community services are working well"

Illustration for Oranga Tamariki Act 1989

The chief executive can check how a community service is working from time to time. You might wonder what they are checking - they are looking at how the service operates, the quality of the services they provide, and the rules they follow. They do this to make sure the service is running well.

When the chief executive's delegate checks a community service, they write a report about what they found. The chief executive gets this report and sends a copy to the community service.

The chief executive wants to know if the community service is doing a good job, so they can make changes if needed.
