The District Court can hear and decide some cases urgently if it is not possible for the Family Court to hear them quickly. You can go to the District Court for urgent help with certain applications, such as those under section 44, section 45, section 78, or section 88 for an interim restraining order. The District Court can make decisions in these urgent cases when the Family Court cannot hear them straight away.
