Oranga Tamariki Act 1989

Youth justice - Intensive supervision orders

296I: Conditions of intensive supervision order

You could also call this:

"Rules you must follow when you're on an intensive supervision order"

Illustration for Oranga Tamariki Act 1989

If you get an intensive supervision order, you must follow certain conditions. You will have to report to your supervisor at least once a week for the first three months, and then once a month after that. You will also have to report to your supervisor when they ask you to.

Your supervisor is the person who will be keeping an eye on you, and this could be someone who works for the government or someone from an organisation. The court can also add other conditions to your order, such as having to stay at a certain centre or having to do a specific programme. The court might also say you have to follow a curfew, which means you have to be at home at certain times, and you might have to wear an electronic monitor to make sure you are following the curfew.

The court can impose conditions under section 305, section 306, or section 296J, and you will have to follow these conditions. You might have to attend a centre and take part in activities, or you might have to do a specific programme. The conditions will depend on what the court decides is best for you.
