When you are part of a family group conference, a youth justice co-ordinator is in charge. They must make sure the conference gets all the information and advice it needs to make good decisions. This includes information about the health and education needs of the child or young person involved.

The co-ordinator can ask someone to attend the conference if they have important information to share. This person can only attend if they have information to share, unless the conference agrees they can stay.

The conference must follow the rules set out in section 251 when deciding who can attend and what information is shared.
