Oranga Tamariki Act 1989

Care and protection of children and young persons - Reporting of child abuse

18AAA: Chief executive may make family group conference available in certain circumstances

You could also call this:

"The boss of Oranga Tamariki can organise a family meeting to help you in certain situations."

The chief executive might think a family group conference is a good idea to help you, even if they do not think you need care or protection. If they think this, they can send your case to a care and protection co-ordinator. The co-ordinator must then set up a family group conference, as stated in section 20.
