If you are found guilty of an offence in the Youth Court, you are treated as if you were convicted in the District Court. This means the Director of Land Transport would record demerit points against you, as stated in section 88 of the Land Transport Act 1998. You are deemed to have been convicted of the offence, and the rules in sections 88 to 91 of the Land Transport Act 1998 and related regulations apply to you, unless your charge is discharged under section 282.
