When you are part of a family group conference, you have some important jobs to do. You need to think about what is best for the child or young person, and consider things that affect their care or protection and well-being. You will make decisions and create plans that you think are necessary or desirable for the child's or young person's care, protection, or well-being, and you will consider the principles set out in sections 4A(1), 5, and 13.

You will also review the decisions and plans you have made from time to time, and check how they are working. This includes looking at the decisions and recommendations you made, and the plans you created, as well as how well they are being put into action. You will do this to make sure everything is working well for the child or young person.
