Youth justice - Community work order

303: Effect of subsequent sentence

"What happens to your community work if you get another sentence?"

If you have a community work order and you get a sentence of imprisonment or a community-based sentence for another offence, your community work order will be cancelled. This is unless the court that gave you the new sentence says otherwise. You can find out what a community-based sentence is by looking at the Sentencing Act 2002, and what a sentence of home detention is by looking at section 80A of the Sentencing Act 2002.
