If you do not go to a mediation conference when asked, a District Court Judge can make you go. The Judge can do this if the Registrar of the court asks them to. The Judge will send you a summons that says when and where you have to go to the mediation conference. You can be made to go to a mediation conference if you do not comply with a request under section 170(2)(b). If you get a summons to go to a mediation conference, section 159 of the Criminal Procedure Act 2011 applies to you.
