When you prepare a report under section 178, you can get paid for it. The court decides who pays your fees and expenses. You might get paid by one of the parties involved in the case, or the court might decide that the money comes from Parliament.

You can find more information about this in section 178. The court's decision is final, and they choose who pays or if the money comes from Parliament. This is how the fees and expenses for preparing the report are taken care of.
