When you are placed in the care of someone because of an agreement under section 139 or section 140, that person has the same powers and responsibilities as if you were in their custody because of an order under section 101. This means they can make decisions about your care and wellbeing. They have to look after you and make sure you are safe, just like they would if they had custody of you because of a court order.
