When you are dealing with a care or protection order, some rules apply to you. The rules in sections 178 to 183 are used instead of the rules in sections 38 to 44 of the Criminal Procedure (Mentally Impaired Persons) Act 2003. This means that if you are involved in a care or protection order, these special rules are used.
