When it comes to paying for advertisements for a candidate, you need to know who is allowed to spend the money. You can be a candidate yourself and pay for your own advertisements. A party secretary can also pay for certain election advertisements, which are described in section 205EA. Alternatively, someone authorised by the candidate, under section 204G, can pay for the advertisements on their behalf.
