Illustration for Electoral Act 1993

The Electoral Commission must act independently when it does its job. You can find its job described in this Act and in other laws that talk about the Electoral Commission, except for the Crown Entities Act 2004. This means the Electoral Commission makes its own decisions without being influenced by others.
