Illustration for Electoral Act 1993

If you publish a party advertisement before and during a regulated period, or if you publish it before and it keeps being published during that time, this rule applies to you. You must split the costs of the advertisement so that only a fair share of the costs is counted as happening during the regulated period. This means that only the costs that are counted as happening during the regulated period are considered election expenses.
