Illustration for Electoral Act 1993

If you are a candidate in an election and you do something wrong on purpose, like cheating, you can get in trouble. When someone complains about what you did, there is a trial to figure out what happened. If the court decides you did cheat, your election win will be cancelled, which means you will not get to be the winner.
