Illustration for Electoral Act 1993

The Electoral Commission has to report on certain things. You need to know what these things are. The Commission must report on the total amounts of donations they got under section 208A(2), the amounts they paid to a party secretary under section 208D(1), the amounts they returned to donors under section 208D(2)(a) or (3)(a), and the amounts they paid into a Crown Bank Account under section 208D(2)(b) or (3)(b).

The Electoral Commission must do this reporting in two ways. They have to include this information in their annual report for each financial year. They also have to report on this information every three months, by putting it on their website and using other ways they think are suitable.

The Commission reports on the preceding three-month period when they do their quarterly reports.
