You can nominate people to be candidates for election in electoral districts. They must be qualified under the Electoral Act and agree to be nominated. The nomination is done by the secretary of a registered political party. You can nominate many candidates at once using a bulk nomination schedule. This schedule is given to the Electoral Commission on a special form. The Electoral Commission provides the form. The schedule can be handed in, sent by post, or given electronically. It must be given to the Electoral Commission by noon on nomination day. The Electoral Commission gives a written receipt for every accepted schedule. 146DBulk nomination of constituency candidates

  1. At any general election, the secretary of a political party that is registered under Part 4 may, in accordance with this section, nominate as candidates for election for electoral districts persons who are qualified under this Act and who consent to be nominated.

  2. The secretary of a party may nominate its candidates under this section by lodging, with the Electoral Commission, a single bulk nomination schedule on a form provided by the Electoral Commission.

  3. A bulk nomination schedule—

  4. may be lodged by hand, post, or electronically; and
    1. must be lodged with the Electoral Commission not later than noon on nomination day.
      1. The Electoral Commission must give a written receipt for every bulk nomination schedule that the Electoral Commission accepts.
