If you are a party secretary, you must keep proper records of all party donations you receive. You have to make sure these records are accurate and complete. If you do not keep these records and you do not have a good reason for not doing so, you can be fined up to $40,000 if you are convicted.

You can find more information about this by looking at the Electoral Act 1986 and the Electoral Amendment Act 2009, as well as the Criminal Procedure Act 2011.

As a party secretary, it is your responsibility to follow the rules and keep track of all donations your party receives.
