The Electoral Commission can ask you for permission to share some of your information with another group. They want to share your name, address, date of birth, and contact details to help create a list of iwi affiliations. You can choose whether to give them this information. The Electoral Commission might also ask if you want to share your iwi affiliation with certain organisations. They must tell you about the rules in section 111D(4) and section 111F(1) to (4) if they ask for your permission. You can withdraw your permission at any time. The Electoral Commission can only keep your iwi affiliation information for as long as it takes to pass it on to the other group. They cannot keep it for longer than that. If you have already been told not to share your information, as stated in section 115, the Electoral Commission cannot ask you again.
