Accident Compensation Act 2001

Code of ACC Claimants' Rights, and claims - Code of ACC Claimants' Rights

44: Approval of Code by Minister

You could also call this:

"The Minister checks and approves the rules for ACC claimants"

The Minister must approve the Code of ACC Claimants' Rights after looking at the report and making any changes to the draft Code. The Minister can make changes even if they weren't suggested in the report.

Once approved, the Code becomes a type of law called secondary legislation. This means it needs to follow certain rules about how it's published. You can find these rules in Part 3 of the Legislation Act 2019.
