Accident Compensation Act 2001

Code of ACC Claimants' Rights, and claims - Claims process

49: Treatment provider lodging claim on behalf of person

You could also call this:

"Treatment provider can make a claim for you if you say it's okay"

If you want a treatment provider to make a claim for you, you need to give them permission first. Once you do that, the treatment provider must send your claim to ACC quickly. They can't wait around or take their time. This is part of the rules for how claims are made under the Accident Compensation Act 2001.
