Accident Compensation Act 2001

Transitional provisions relating to entitlements provided by Corporation (but not under Part 10) - Treatment

364: Treatment

You could also call this:

"Old rules about injury treatment still apply for some people"

You need to know about a rule that still applies from an old law called the Accident Insurance Act 1998. This rule is about treatment for injuries. If you were getting treatment or if ACC (the Accident Compensation Corporation) said in writing that they would pay for your treatment before 1 April 2002, and you were still allowed to get that treatment on 31 March 2002, then the old rules about treatment from Schedule 1 of that Act still apply to you. This means that even though there's a new law now, the old rules for your treatment haven't changed if you fit into this group.
