Entitlements and related matters - Vocational rehabilitation

86: Matters to be considered in deciding whether to provide vocational rehabilitation

You could also call this:

"Deciding if you can get help to return to work"

When deciding if you should get vocational rehabilitation, the Corporation must look at the things mentioned in section 87. Vocational rehabilitation is meant to help you get back to work.

The Corporation will first try to see if you can go back to the same job you had before you were hurt, with the same employer. If that's not possible, they will look at other options.

These other options include:

  1. Seeing if you can do a different job with the same employer.
  2. Checking if you can do your old job but with a new employer.
  3. Finding out if you can do a different job with a new employer, using your experience, education, or training.
  4. Helping you use as many of your old work skills as possible to find a new job.

The Corporation will think about all these things to decide what kind of vocational rehabilitation is best for you.
