Accident Compensation Act 2001

Accident Compensation Corporation - The Corporation

267: Board of Corporation

You could also call this:

“The ACC Board: Who's in charge and how they're chosen”

The Board of the Corporation can have up to 9 members. The Minister chooses these members based on a rule in another law called the Crown Entities Act 2004.

You are not considered to have a special interest in a matter just because you pay taxes or drive a car. This is important for a rule in the Crown Entities Act 2004.

The people who were on the Board before this law started will stay on the Board until their time is up. They were chosen under an older law called the Accident Insurance Act 1998.

The Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson of the Corporation are the same people who had these jobs under the old Accident Insurance Act 1998 when this new law began.
