Accident Compensation Act 2001

Code of ACC Claimants' Rights, and claims - Claims process

54: Responsibility of Corporation to make reasonable decisions in timely manner

You could also call this:

“ACC must make fair choices about your claim quickly”

The Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC) has to make good choices about your claim. They need to do this quickly and for good reasons. When they make a decision, they have to think about what the law says, what kind of decision it is, and everything else that’s important. They can’t take too long to decide, and they can’t make choices without thinking about all the facts.
