Disestablishment of Accident Compensation Appeal Authority
Schedule 6: Consequential amendments
You could also call this:
"Changes to other laws because of the new accident rules"
This schedule lists all the Acts and Regulations that need to be changed because of the Accident Compensation Act 2001. It's like a big list of other laws that need to be updated to match the new rules in the Accident Compensation Act.
The schedule has two main parts. The first part is a list of Acts that need to be changed. There are lots of different Acts on this list, like the Children, Young Persons, and Their Families Act 1989 and the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992. These are all different areas of law that might be affected by the new Accident Compensation Act.
The second part of the schedule is much shorter. It lists two Regulations that also need to be changed. These are the District Courts Rules 1992 and the Health Entitlement Cards Regulations 1993. Regulations are like smaller rules that help carry out the bigger laws.
