116: Indexation of lump sum compensation, funeral grant, survivor's grant, and child care payments

You could also call this:

"Updating payment amounts for different types of ACC compensation"

The Corporation (ACC) must change the amounts of money for some types of compensation. These include lump sum payments, funeral grants, survivor's grants, and child care payments. The amounts are listed in specific parts of Schedule 1 of the Act.

The Corporation has to adjust these amounts based on a special formula. This formula looks at how prices of goods and services change over time, which is measured by the Consumers Price Index. The government decides when these changes should happen.

When the Corporation makes these changes, they need to tell everyone about it. They can do this in any way they think is best to make sure claimants and the public know about the new amounts.

Sometimes, the Corporation doesn't have to change the amounts. This happens if the change in prices is very small. The government decides how small is too small to make a change.
