Accident Compensation Act 2001

Code of ACC Claimants' Rights, and claims - Decisions on cover and entitlements

60: Decision on claim for Schedule 2 injury

You could also call this:

"ACC decides if you can get help for certain work injuries"

If you get hurt at work in a way described in Schedule 2, you can ask for help. The Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC) can only say no to your request in two situations. First, they can say no if they can prove you don't actually have an injury listed in Schedule 2. Second, they can say no if they can prove something other than your job caused your injury. This means ACC has to show clear reasons if they want to deny your claim for this type of work injury.
